Brittany Caldwell, also known as “BCtheNP”, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been a proud member of the medical world for almost 20 years. Brittany carries a deep passion and desire for helping others, especially when it seems as if they have lost hope. Often referred to as “Boss Lady,” Brittany possesses strong leadership qualities and thus has found herself working simultaneously in managerial and medical roles her entire career.
Born and raised in Chester, SC, Brittany is the youngest of three children shared between her mother and father. Graduating from Chester Senior High School in 2004, Brittany attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC where she obtained her undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing in 2008. Upon graduation, Brittany went straight in the nursing workforce and became a Women’s Medical-Surgical nurse at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Understanding and experiencing the challenges and frustrations surrounding the limitations as an RN, in 2011, while just becoming a brand new mom, Brittany made the courageous decision to return to graduate school for her Master’s Degree in Nursing to pursue her ultimate dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. In 2013, Brittany proudly walked across the stage of the prestigious Duke University as Cum Laude of her graduating class with a Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing. Upon passing her state board exam, she officially became board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Although her love, passion, gratitude, and respect for nursing may run deep, Brittany’s most cherished title and role is being a mom to her beautiful, charismatic, kind, and oh-so-handsome two sons, Ja’Kayden and Caleb.
The “BCtheNP” brand originated in the year 2020 and became a trademarked brand in 2024. Having always struggled with weight, Brittany felt a deep calling and purpose to help others achieve one of the hardest things in life—sustained weight loss. Beginning this journey of entrepreneurship was no easy feat and began right from Brittany’s personal vehicle, providing concierge healthcare services during the height of the COVID epidemic. Doing this, made BCtheNP a local household name throughout South and North Carolina and helped to catapult Brittany’s ultimate Will and purpose of one day having her own weight loss practice. In 2021, not being fully financially prepared to obtain her own private space, Brittany partnered with a local medical office where she agreed to provide primary care services for their female patients and, in exchange, she would be allowed to use their facility to see her own patients. Grateful for this opportunity, Brittany began her practice and worked extremely hard to build her reputation organically. During this opportunity, Brittany was able to serve over 100 men, women, and children on their weight loss journey and help them achieve ultimate success. While continuing to work a full-time job as well as provide primary care services for this medical office AND build her own patient panel, Brittany never gave up. By late Summer of 2022, the office of BCtheNP had earned enough money and had demonstrated consistent performance that Brittany felt comfortable taking the big step to renegotiate the terms of the original agreement with this medical office. This re-negotiation/proposal was accepted and in October 2022, Brittany had opened the doors to her one-room office space! She made this space her own and continued to help patients achieve weight loss success. Word began to spread and soon people from all over the country was reaching out to BCtheNP for help with their weight. This catapulted BCtheNP into the telehealth realm and opened up more streams of revenue for the brand. This increase in revenue allowed Brittany to make a huge investment in her practice and by the end of 2022, the office of BCtheNP was offering body contouring via red light therapy! A newer phenomenon to the Eastern region of the country. This investment proved to be a great one, bringing Brittany 100% ROI within the first month of launching the new service. Continuing with this success, in July 2023, BCtheNP was able to expand from her one room, 170 sq.feet space to three rooms plus a waiting area.
Today, BCtheNP continues to thrive and grow. With so many goals and aspirations, Brittany decided to rethink her current business strategies. At that time, it was decided to make BCtheNP more of a personal brand for the nurse practitioner and give the actual brick and mortar office space its own separate name and identity. And in early 2024, Harvest Health Epicenter Indian Land was born!
The work and purpose of BCtheNP is nowhere near done. Brittany attributes her success and the success of BCtheNP to a much greater and higher power/being than herself. She has humbly accepted the calling placed upon her and will continue to walk in obedience and abundance. So, hang on tight and be ready to soar because there is no stopping this girl! Now let’s go BLOOM!!!!!
